roasting marshmallows

it’s finally rainy season! (again) We’ve all been hoping for rain to cool things down, and it has final arrived, at least for an few hours. Strangely enough the power goes out almost everytime it rains. All in all i think the power went off 4 times tonight…we were mid-movie (a nightly tradition). Once the power went out we found a bunch of candles…it’s pitch black dark in the middle of nowhere…Once we lit the candles Kayla, a housemate from TN, decided she wanted s’mores. We all roasted marshmallows by Christmas Eve style candles. It was very entertaining.
As we stood around the kitchen laughing and enjoying our ghetto s’mores a man wondered into our kitchen. That sounds a lot scarier than it actually was…He was from the Georgia team and he got lost looking for the medical clinic.

all of the kids are out of school next week! it’s student appreciation…a national holiday. Why don’t we have this in the States? I know I would be a big fan of getting a week off just for being a kid. We have several activities planned, but if you have any ideas please let me know!
